Legal literacy means knowledge of primary level in law. About 70 % of the people are living in rural area who are not aware of the rights conferred upon them by law. Hence, in the absence of legal awareness the people are exploited and deprived of rights and benefits. This condition can be alleviated to some extent by legal awareness amongst the people. Legal literacy cell was constituted in the educational institutions so that the students can be teaches and get aware about the laws and legal rights so that they can help themselves and the people around their neighbourhood about their legal rights and law. Therefore the main aim of this club is to create awareness among students about their constitutional rights, duties and legal obligations.

Objectives

To aware the students regarding their legal rights and duties to transform them in useful citizens and apprise them about different laws and regulations to prevent them from exploitation in the hands of others.
